Hey,

I'm planning on colour coding my platic bumber, grill and door handles, i've got a Red (AJ4) K11 (facelift)

I've got the right primer, AJ4 red and clear laquer, but i was just wondering, how much sanding do i need to do on the trim parts,

do i need to sand it down at all, or can i just prime it and go?

hope that mekes sense, and advive is greatly appreciated :)

cheers

Use 600,800 and 1000 grade wet and dry and you should be fine :) As long as the grain on the plastic is gone and smooth, will be fine to spray over :)

You removing them off the car? Or spraying them on the car?

if i can figure out how to get the door handles and grills off i will,

but i'm leaving the trim on the bumper, just planning on covering eveything in tape.

thanks for a quick reply :)

Take the door card/panel off and you'll see 2x 10mm nuts holding the handle on. Theres a piece of metal rod? attached to the handle, you'll need to un-hook that and the handle will come off :)
