Replacing locks

Hi there, great site, so much useful info. So far I've been able to replace my stereo and hopefully will sort the heater problem out with a new card soon.

The next thing I want to look at is the locks. They have been ropey for about three years but are functional, just. Is it straightforward to change the locks on a k11. My plan is to get a them from someone I know who is breaking his. My expertise regarding cars etc is less than beginner and tools limited.

Not sure exactly what must be done, but it'll be more complicated than just replacing the locks.

You will need to change the ignition (as it uses the same key) and also reprogram your NATS (Nissan Anti Theft System) as its programmed to your key so only your key will work in the ignition. Some of the more experienced guys will have more of an idea though.

you will need 2 new snap bolts which hold on the igntion lock

Or you could just have 2 keys one for your doors and one for your ignition
