Hello All,
6 months ago we purchased the above Micra (5 door version) 2008 with 4,000 miles on the clock. The car was bought thinking that it would be fuel efficient and we were originally going to go for the 1.2 auto but the MPG figures were the same for the 1.4 so decided on the latter.
The car has now clocked around 8,000 miles. The MPG we are getting is around 25-26mpg (according to the digital display).
It is only achieving around 200-220 miles from a full tank fully loaded until you see the liquid at the point of refill. We have switched off the air con & it hasn’t made much difference. It is mainly town driving with start/stop traffic. I was wondering if anyone had a similar car so that I could gauge whether this was normal.
We don't use overdrive or the manual gear 1 or 2 just the auto setting.
The other question is around the electric mirrors which adjust okay, but when we press the demist button that clears the rear screen, the mirrors appear not to be heated... should they be? I have checked the fuses and nothings a miss, during the winter period we rely on heated mirrors.
Cheers,
Sparky
