Help with lower ball joint needed please.

Hi,
I am currently replacing both front wheel bearings as they failed on the mot. Unfortunatly i broke the rubber seal on the lower ball joint connecting the wish bone to the hub. Does anyone know wether i can get a new rubber or how to remove and replace the lot? Ive noticed wishbones come with ball joints on them.... does this mean i need to buy a whole wishbone?

Your help is much appreciated! MOT retest on friday then ive finally got the thing on the road! herray! :laugh:

you can buy the ball joints separately from motorfactors but not just the rubbers, they need pressing in and out as far as i can remember (havent done one for ages)

might be bit late now but ive just done this- once i removed the circlip i heated the arm gentally with a blow tourch one swift blat wiv the hammer job done - now the new one collected from the fridge went in piece cake

Couldn't you carefully remove one from one at the breakers yard?

BTW, a burst/torn/leaking boot on a ball joint or track rod end is not a fail as far as your MOT goes.

its not worth using a second hand one, they are pretty cheap and its take a little while to fit.
