front speaker installation question

I have some polk 6 1/2" speakers that I would I like to fit to the front, however they are to deep, I could use 15mm spacers but my concern is that the door cards wouldn't then fit, Has anybody else managed to use spacers. Mine is a 51plate, the door cards are very flat and look to be very close to the door.

you could put the spacer inbetween the door card and the speaker??? so it wouldn't push the door card out of place.. just a thought, in my car the door card has a big hole for the speaker so it isn't a problem (mine is a '96 plate) hope this helps (Y)
