Head gasket blew...cheaper to buy another engine with less miles on it and quicker to get back on the road..!

How do you know the engine you just bought wont go pop in 500miles?

I would've done the gasket personally. Fitted a decent one.

Any part can fail at any time on any engine

but cost vs time its much easier to swap engines
