clutch help ?

ever since i had my clutch kit fitted the bite isnt very strong atall proberly only a inch of bit on the bottom changes gear ok just anybody no why its so weak please

tighten the clutch cable thumbscrew end to raise the bite point between 1/4 - 1/2 way up

stupid question but witch way unscrew or screw it in ?
