1.6 N15 air box

i have one and im going to fit it once carcon canister has be removed... but inside the lid on the air box is like a small like capture tank almost thing lol..... which is held on with plastic rivit looking things and its just above the mesh for the tb.... so any ideas or can it be well and truely binned?
