to give an update on all this ...i recieved the key repair kit from ebay [ £5:50 ] in the bag was the complete back half of the key , two micro switches & a new battery ... i heated up the solder on the old micro switches and removed them , then held the new ones in place with tweezers and...

well i pulled the rubber cover off the key fob and managed to get it to unlock the car using a small screwdriver across the micro switch , so at least now i can open and lock the car with just the key without the alarm going off till i can get another part of the fob ..thanks agent-smith .

no the key is ok its the micro switch that has dropped to bits , the part that unlocks the central locking . the chip is ok ..i cannot unlock the car if i try and use just the key it sets the alarm off ...

came to unlock my micra and felt a crunching sound from the key and it wouldnt unlock . i took the rubber cover off and the inside of the key has just dropped to bits ...if i get another key from nissan do i have to get them to code it ? ..rang my local dealer they said £150 for new key and...

my k11 with factory fitted rev sensors has started to make a different buzzer noise ? instead of the normal beep beep noise i,m getting a continous tone ...any idea,s what wrong ...

got under mine today to splash wax oil all over and the exhaust looked a bit fed up ..will soon be looking for a new one ...how mich should i expect to pick one up for ?

the alarm on my micra is the std nissan one and is acting up going off when it likes ect , is it possible to just disconnect it from the cars battery ?

not many ?...i think its due to the k11 having a heavy body [ a bit like my wife]

just wondered what MPG folks are getting out of there k11,s ..mine [ k11 1,000cc 2002 model ] seems to stick to about 45mpg around town 45pmg on the motorway & 45mpg going steady ?

can you help with this problem . when the clutch is worn out and the cable cannot be adjusted anymore ....is the adjusting wheel on the clutch cable at the end of the thread TOWARDS the front of the car OR towards the BACK ? tried to upload a photo but had a problem ..but if you look at the...

my cable was exactly the same ..fully adjusted ..but the clutch was not slipping ..so i put in a small washer to act as a spacer to give me a bit more on the clutch pedal ..until i get a new clutch fitted [ which will be tomorrow ] ..

yes it was all slack. i started by putting it on the clutch pedal first while it was all loose , just had a difficult time under the dash ...

changed my clutch cable today .. it was fairly straight forward but getting that coupling on to the top of the clutch pedal was a real ball ache theres just no room around it ..left lost of skin up there ..ouch ..?

ive just done my first oil & filter change on my k11 . the problem was i couldnt get anything to tighten the new filter back on with so tightened it as hard as i could by hand ...now my wife has a 2009 micra and in her handbook it says tighten the oil filter by hand only .....so will me...
