Hi, Just replacing the stock speakers with some alpine components. The doors were a swift enough job - but the tweeters... The alpine ones are bigger then the stock ones so I have attacked the plastic mounting bracket with a hacksaw and a stanley knife... There is almost bugger all left and...

Managed to get a stock shelf with speakers for £20. Havent got it yet but plan is to use as it comes till funds allow, then use as a base to upgrade... Full plan and pics to follow :)

Should that have been included in the adaptor and wasnt - or is that something that needs to be done seperately..?

Great - thanks folks. Last time I installed a head unit in a k11 it lost time, stations etc whenever I turned it off so I reckon I did something wrong in the wiring...

Hi folks I have a new Alpine head unit for my '96 K11. Any idea how I can find out what wiring adaptor I need so I have all the bits ready before I start fitting..? If anyone knows - or knows of an online tool that will tell me - appreciate it!

Not sure that applies if the money was spent on petrol collecting the item... Looking for how to get the best sound - the speakers will most likely be alpine, but how to fit - standard shelf, wait for an OEM speaker shelf, or go mdf... thoughts?

Going to sort out a new head unit later this month and have found what I presume are the connectors for rear speakers after following directions in another thread... now decision time: 1. Put some Alpine 6X9s into the parcel shelf, possibly with some dynamat as the shelf seems a little...

Couple more tries - any thoughts..? If you know these were standard on a particular type or model it may help the search... They look like standard nissan micra alloys to me - but seem to have foxed the parts desk...

The local Nissan dealer are having real trouble finding me a missing alloy centre. Keep ordering bits I can clearly see are incorrect.. Looking at one of hte others, the only numbers are "NBF 080" and the wheels have 'fondmetal for Nissan" embossed on them... Anyone got any ideas of a part...

Thanks folks :) Too low mileage can sometimes mean the car has just been neglected - but so far this one is sound.... (fingers crossed). Its taxed as disabled, and spent most of its life just sitting in someones garage.

OK think I have sourced the issue... thought it was related to fan, but on a few more tries, realised I was also checking the gear position each time. Its an auto - and seems to need a firm push into P sometimes before it will start. Not going to let that worry me - I have a 17 year old car...
