    Automatic Gear Box

How the stick moves have nothing to do with the oil. Need to check all the parts that connect the stick to the transmission, might be a seized bolt or pulley cable or something. Haven't looked at how the stick connects to the tranny. Regardless, have your gear oil changed if it hasn't been...

    K11 Micra Stereo Install Guide

The wiring definitely helps. I spent some time figuring out the speaker colour codes. You can see my thread. See: Interior cleanup and cracked panels repair P.S. Don't twist and tape. Make proper connectors. They fail over time.

Really bad FC - 8km/l or 18mpg at best

Hey folks, the Micra has been through an engine oil (5W-40), oil filter and spark plug change, and it seems to be running better now. I'm doing closer to 11~12km/l (25~28 mpg) now, and I think I will try advancing the timing a little bit more. I purchased an O2 sensor off eBay but have yet to...

Really bad FC - 8km/l or 18mpg at best

Hey folks, I'm back after a long period of absence. Jimmmy, yes what I did was to reset my trip meter every fill up, then just divide distance with qty of fuel to get the fuel economy and it is really bad. You can keep a log, and over several thousand kilometres it should be pretty accurate. I...

Really bad FC - 8km/l or 18mpg at best

I'm still waiting for my O2 sensor to ship from somewhere in Lithuania but so far I think there's an approximate 1-2km/l improvement in fuel economy after the idle/timing adjustments. I'm just going through my second tank of gas so I need more mileage to have a good average. Anyway, is it...

Interior cleanup and cracked panels repair

Removed the old felt lining on the top. Notice all the clips here and the screw holes have actually broken off. I never found the bits that broke -- likely broken by the ex-owner(s) and crappy audio install shops. Tip: Don't over-tighten your screws. Cut a strip off a big piece of...

Just fitted 1.3 engine but I have problems

Is the fouled plug only on cylinder 1? Maybe your cylinder 1 injector is stuck open and a combination of that with timing too retarded causing your engine to flood?

    Help...car cut out:/

Is yours a coilpack or distributor version? My friend had a similar issue. Soldered the MAF and it was fixed, then later it happened again and we thought it was the MAF soldering gone bad, but it turned out to be the distributor. Have it checked at a mechanics' or better even if you can get hold...

Interior cleanup and cracked panels repair

I've put the interior parts back together, and spent another 3 hours polishing my headlights. Will try to take a pic of the finished product.

Here's what it looks like AFTER tps + idle + ign timing adjustment. Next up -- temp sensor and lamba sensor replacements.

Finally got back from sunny California. Managed to buy a static timing light off eBay for under US$40 while there. It's ridiculously cheap for such a decent quality piece of equipment. I can't find anything like this here for under S$100 (approx US$80). Another friend with a K11 (CG10DE)...

    Tb waxstat loop

I tried removing mine and the screws holding the green spring refuse to turn and looks like any more strength will strip it. Ugh.

Found two important pages in the manual. Uploading here for my reference (it's quite hard to find in the PDF).
