nah, the coolant temp sensor (not the gauge one ), the service manual pdf has some info on itGood suggestion frank but I don't have check engine light and I have temperature readout.
Swapped over relays too, no luck.

the 2 wire one ?Took it out to check it and was a bit crusty. Cleaned and went to put back CRACK. So I'm stuffed.
the 2 wire one ?
you mean it wont start/fire up without it ? and is the plastic body broke or the thread ?That's the one frank. Car doesn't turn on without it.

it,ll flood a hot engine if its disconnected eh, i have 2 wired into mine (to shorten the coldstart enrichment time)
it should start from cold ok, and you would need a resistor of about 300 ohms to bypass itThe one i have now is unuseable and without the car wont start so im pretty much stuffed until i get another unless theres a way around it?

did you check the service manual diagnostic section ?So I swapped over the sensor and the fan is still staying on. Any ideas?

it explains what symptoms will cause the ecu to constantly run the fan (and limp modes etc)

fraid notRight according to the wire diagram in the workshop pdf, theres a hi-lo temperature switch, do you have any idea where that is located?
