My front wipers just stopped working half way through a wipe in the middle of a downpour. Managed to get home by stopping every few minutes to manually operate them! I can hear the motor working OK when I try to operate them, but I think something has snapped/disconnected inside. They've been making an awful noise for a few months now and were quite juddery but I wasn't using them that much anyway.
I've prised off the wiper arms (needed some penetrating grease as they were basically welded on), but don't know how to get the scuttle cover off so I can see the linkage. Not helped by the fact I'm trying to do it in the dark I guess. Is it screwed on, or just clipped on?
