Wiper don't work with engine running

Hi everyone

Just bought a 2002 Micra and have come across a fault. The front window wipers work fine when i turn the ignition on, but when i turn the engine on, they stop working altogether. I had a search around the forum but couldn't see anyone else having this problem. Does anybody here have any ideas?

Check the earth to the relay box. Might be picking up in-series earth from another circuit then losing it when circuit goes positive. Come across loads of faults like that before. Another thing to check is someone hasn't swapped wrong relay out. Hope you get sorted.
