Will a 1999 rear parcel shelf speakers wire up to my 2001??

Seen a parcel shelf with speakers on for cheap it's off a 1999 will that wire straight into my 2001 ? Or should I just get a couple speakers and do a DIY shelf?

Hi Matthew, is it a 1.0 S model you have? If it is, you will have the wiring.
At least I did anyway. Just check under your original parcel shelf, and see if there's an unplugged connector on the right hand side.

There's a thick white wire going through the car and ending in the boot

The rear speaker connector in the car loom is a 4 pin 'square' type like this :


There are 4 wires, 2 for each speaker [coming from the head unit] like this :


..and when the parcel shelf is plugged in, it looks like this :

The first facelift had the brake light at the bottom rather than the top, so the parcel shelf will have a cut out for that
