Which CV joint needs replacing

Hello everyone.

A quick question. How to determine which CV joint needs replacing? On a full turn to the right there is the noise/ sound associated with damaged cv joint. Is it the driver side or passenger side?

i read that a quick rough check is if it knocks louder when turning one way than the other way, it's the opposite outer wheels CV thats worn. ie knocks only on full right turn, LH CV is worn.
double check by keeping the tyre touching the floor whilst trying to twist the driveshaft in neutral. a worn CV would allow the shaft to feel/appear sloppy.

My LH CV joint made a noise when on full RH lock.

Have removed the old (LHS).

Immediately I don't see any damage to the driveshaft head.

The square clip is not moving while round is. Do I have to remove the ring/round retaining clip?
