Looks very well @Seb Stevens. Keep up the good work.

Didn't do much, replaced the nsf wheel with one with a better tire as it was getting a little old!
Got my personal plates on my DD the other week, forgot to post it!

I bought a new K11 and I threw some fancy suspension and wheels at it.

Modifications:
Smoothed front bumper with mesh (bit battered now :( )
Yellow tinted front fogs
Astra G? splitter
Coilovers
3" fart can
14" 8J ET15 Steffan RS (powder coated "traffic blue" whatever that is by previous owner who kindly wrapped them in lovely Falken tyres and never used them :D )
Colour coded headlight inserts
Colour coded pre-face boot handle (not in pic)
Colour coded wrap around spoiler (not yet on)
Painted Bonnet inserts
March half leather seats
March cup holder centre console
Parcel Shelf Speakers
Aftermarket stereo

Think that's it...

EDIT: this pic will have to do, others are too large and I can't be bothered re sizing

Spent 4 hours today fixing a large rust hole in the o/s inner wheel arch. The rust hole was created by the splash guard and plastic rivot trapping moisture over the past 13 years (shown in red circle). The other side has the same problem but not as badly rusted. It would be an MOT fail as there is an engine mounting bracket on the other side. It was necessary to remove the wiper fluid container for the repair. I used a clarke 90en welder on full power with flux core wire. I used a torch angle of about 45 degrees to give a flatter weld and just made short bursts / stitch welds all around and finally ran a bead over the top. The weld looks crap but it's good enough for MOT.

Just finished and fitted the colour coded (Nissan Lava mettalic) interior dash air vents which I think modernises and enhances the look of the dash. Still got some final details to do like the open/close vent dials etc! The mod was quite fiddly and time consuming but I did prep the vents by cleaning with acetone, keying with very fine wet and dry and applying 4 thin coats of paint and 2 coats of lacquer! Also removed the power window motor's from the JDM March for spares for my Cabriolet! I noticed you have a JDM Cup Holder in your Face lift. I've sourced one but am having trouble fitting it in my Car. I think the ECU is in the way. Did you have to modify anything on your vehicle
Thanks, Howard.

Been there for a world heavyweight fight at Madison square gardens, hell of a place to visit - would not live there (!)
Don't like any of them motors...I'll stick with my micra and wagonr ;)

In the home of conspicuous consumption aspirational lifestyle

bling status, there is perhaps unsurprisingly not much demand for lowly Micras?

Our hotel was opposite madison square gardens. I loved the hustle and bustle, such electricity. I can't say I would pick any of those cars either. Wouldn't mind a v8 micra though haha

Fixed the nearside headlight that was pointing to the moon. It's not easy to remove a micra headlight when the "green plastic clip from hell" is holding it in place. After about 40 minutes of pulling at it, I finally tried an old school screwdriver (33mm long and 7mm tip, see photo). I just stuck it in the top of the "green plastic clip from hell" , gave it a twist and the headlight came out. I discovered why the light was so high. Previously the motor had come loose so I just screwed it back in without realizing it needs to be attached to the reflector inside. So a quick re-attachment and the light is pointing low again. Good owd black country trades screwdriver mon.

Finally got a chance to try out my redneck ramps today. I made them from empty gas cylinders. I still have to weld struts underneath but wooden blocks work great for now. I've always wanted ramps that I could just easily drive up and they wouldn't fly out. I did some work under the car. I scrapped a lot of surface rust off the petrol tank straps and painted them.

Failed MOT on a rust hole next to rear seatbelt anchoring point, inner wheel arch. The MOT garage said they could weld it in an hour and I wish that I had let them do it. I said I would do it. When I started cutting back the rust, it was more excessive than it looked and would take several hours. This morning I attempted to weld in some new metal and I was welding just below the seatbelt anchoring point and noticed smoke coming out of the sill and then inside the car. I opened the passenger door to find the back seat in flames. I quickly threw a bucket of water onto the fire and it went out. The seatbelt burned through and also the plastic side panel. I got a new seat and seatbelt from a local scrapper within a few hours. I will just make some kind of panel to cover the burned part. I will attempt to finished the welding tomorrow but only after removing the petrol tank. The petrol tank entry hose would be in my way, so might as well get it removed. I don't know how the back seat caught fire but this is a warning to anyone welding cars.

update: took the micra k11 back this morning for a retest on the wheel arch welding and it passed. The tester spent about 30 seconds tapping around the area I welded. Now I have to fix the rear seatbelt I got from the scrapper as it's locked up.

WDID Yesterday : Sorted a few micra things....

Visited Major Motorsport, who are getting out of running Micra rally cars and thus selling off their spares, got a few normal spare items (headlights, grill, wheel arch liners etc...) and also a very nice lightened flywheel. Needs a good clean up, but sound work well, and makes my mind up about doing a precautionary clutch change and gearbox re-build. Simon has lots of other standard parts and looking to shift it all at a good price, call 01869 388200

Also visited Matt Humprhis to pick up my wheel from him, and visited his new (temporary) stores and saw lots of goodies like fibreglass bonnets, lots of test inlet manifolds. As I said to Matt is probably best I left my wallet in the car....

I've done a few little mods here and there.. I've done the rear de-wiper mod, Fitted Genuine front & rear mudflaps, removed the rear hatch handle and fitted modified led lights to light up the numberplate and fitted an alloy handle to lift the hatch when needed. I'll let the pictures show you..

Started to take the engine out as it's a nice sunny day. Oh, and the lower timing chain tensioner is tapping really bad when cold. So it's just easier to remove the whole engine and put my spare one in.
