what did you do to your micra today ?

@IrishK11 I got the sensor with display off eBay. It's for a pc. It runs off 5 volts so I made a 12v to 5v supply out if an old usb adapter. The electronics behind that you can see is a 10 sec time delay before powering it up as starting the car caused it to have a blank display. I routed the sensor out of the door loom and it's attached to the a pillar area. It's fitted into an aluminium plate I made.

Wow fair amount of effort then :p fair play! Might have a go myself at some stage. Same as yourself used to having one in my last car seems strange not having one in Lara !

Decided they need welding up before the next event, also whilst they are being welded up it makes sense to get a sill stand kit installed at the same time. I have been thinking about one for a while, and it makes sense to get this fitted at the same time as the sill repairs

Let us know how hard it is to fit the sill kit, I'm tempted myself :)

Wont

Nah. Not too bad really. Longest part was making the plate fit well. Let me know if you need info on parts and wiring.

Emergency hammer / cutter - in case I need to threaten the kids to shut the eff up.

Thats what I thought but apparently it's anything in the "swept area" wether fitted inside or out, hence shorter wiper arms, less swept area. Therefore no mot failure :)
Unless you've made your swept area too small and fail for insufficient screen clearing...... :/

I need to do the shorter arm mod, that or fit 12" blades for MOT haha

Not to difficult to do, hardest part is drilling the spring holes in the arms. There hardened steel. Broke a few bits on the first one. Just make sure you measure them carefully before cutting. One needs slightly more off than the other, can't remember which one tho.

WDIDT?

Not a lot really....just drove it to work...

However, once I got to work, I found out that I'm getting a mahooosive £££ bonus and a payrise too....

So...now...I'm writing a shopping list....

Just washed and polished my car, cleaned my windows, wheels, mirrors, added back to black to the grey trim, all lovely job looking clean.
Two and a half hours it took, all for a f*****g t******g b*****d road sweeper to drive past my house and cover the car in dust!
