What carb model #'s are you guys using?? Is this the same carb as a Holley 5200? Seems so. If this is true then they are everywhere over here (Canada) came on all kinds of fords (Pintos, Mustang 2's, bobcats...)

Question of the day: How do you go about mounting one of these? What to do about throttle linkage, mounting adapters?, what is needed for this to happen????

I have lots of experience tuning holley carbs and going by the diagram and pics these carbs seem very tune-able and should be relatively easy to 'make run properly' after the mounting part is figured!

I think most of the people on here who arent using the standard Hitachi carburettor are using the Weber replacement one that they sell here. IIRC the model number is 34ICH, and it comes with a fitting kit, so you just unbolt the old carb and stick the Weber on with its little plate, the throttle cable is in the same place, so theres no ruinment there. You have to fit the choke cable yourself, if you can be bothered, or you can save yourself 10 minutes and not bother, when I was using one it didn't really seem to make a huge amount of difference, so we tore the choke bits out in a vain attempt to get 0.0000001% better air flow. Suprisingly it did seem to change the sound slightly, but that was about it, the car was still rather slow :). Theres a video of the car with that carb on at Santa Poddington in the videos section, prior to it having its choke removed. Pod.

Sorry, i can't view those, prob. cause i'm not a member.
You can send them to me @[email protected] and I'll post them on my webhosting account so everyone can see the pics (ie: embeded images, like my carb/electrical diagrams). That is if you like.
