Urgent help needed!

Hi

Im new to this site but need some help urgently, my girlfriend has a 55 plate Micra, the clutch went the other day so took it to the mechanics, got a replacement clutch fitted and when she picked it up it didnt start straight away and the engine warning light came on? she took it back to the mechanics and now apparently it wont start at all????? the mechanic is baffled, does anyone know what could be the possible problem ? would be much appreciated

Many thanks:down:

There's a possibility of the immobiliser being stuck on, are you using the same key as that has a chip in it. Sounds like something was cleared during the engine work

that could be anything, has it been seviced and the correct times cos if not the oil becomes acidic and eats away at the timming chain, all you do it check the gap on timming chain can't remeber wat the tolarence is for it, will get the specs when im next at work for

Any possibility that the crank sensor may have been damaged , possible if he didnt remove it before removing the gearbox.
Just a thought.
cheers.

did you find out wat was wrong with it at all cos if the gap is over 10mm on the tensner then the chain has stretched also it will put engine lights upp some might say crank sensor or something like that as it puts the crank and can sensors out of phase

let us know wat it was or is

it could also be the cam chain
if that slips or stretches (even though there not supposed to) it could trigger a sensor and not start at all
and with this the engine warning light came on as i had this problem
gd luck
