Tyre Recommendations?

Hi all, I've recently come to realise that the cheapo tyres on my car are quite old (2009!!) and starting to perish. Plenty of tread still, but I'm looking to replace them in the near future.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

I really don't want anything special, literally just a street spec tyre that's good all round and will last long. Figured some of you may have had experience with a certain brand or whatever. Budget will be about £150-ish.

Toyo Proxes CF2s are my first choice right now but I'd ideally like to go a bit cheaper as they're £60 a corner and I'm a broke teenager.

Thanks in advance!

I'm not certain but I believe mine came with firestone tyres, and there's an avon pair and a michelin pair been on there as well at some point over the 12 years I've owned it

Never had any problems with tyres really, it's a fairly light-weight car with a lot of the weight in the front over the driven wheels and unless the suspension is stiffened or you're really ragging it I wouldn't think you'd have trouble with any tyres you choose. I use the same ones year round and all have handled well climbing hills in snow and gripping when I've needed to slam on etc

Yeah in fairness I probably won't notice much of a difference between tires at basic runaround level lol. They'll all be as ok as each other I suspect, as you say. I think I'll save the worrying for when I get alloys (Proxes TR1s potentially), so for now I'll just whack on whatever the local fitters have in stock hahaha. Thanks for the info mate!
