Tyre Pressures???

What should the pressures of 195/45 tyres be on 15'' TSW Razors.

I checked mine today and the fronts were both 30psi while the backs were over 40!!!

This was done by the shop that i bought them from.

Is this too high and if so, what pressures should they be at??

id say about 30 at the front and 27 at the rear, 40 is FAR to high, dangerous IMO

30/27 figures look ok.. both my fronts and rears are set to 30.

So why were they pumped up so high in the first place, is there a reason for this??

Probably some incompetitent person who looked at the max pressure reading on the tyre, and decided to inflate it to that!

Actually the rears were over 50psi when i checked them again!

Needless to say ive since lowered them down to 30, before they explode!

not a case of exploding lol, but im sure you know that, over inflating tyres will allow less of the tyre surface to have contact with the round as the tyre will swell in the middle, you will get extra wear in the centre of the tread and the less of the tyre there is touching the road the less grip..so the more dangerous. 50psi is crazy.

is there a chance if they were pumped up quite alot, as they were then put down to a normal measurement of 30 like he has now, is there a chance that the tire could be misshapen?

i am just asking as a general knowledge thing really lol..surely it cant be good for the tire if it has way to much air in or to little air in.. :S
