Traders Insurance?

Does anyone know any thing about these policies?

Also, does anyone know companies who offer trader's insurance offering policies with named drivers under the age of 25?

Just get insurance that lets you drive other peoples cars anyway if you want to do that.

Traders insurance doesn't hold well with the police if your driving on your own. Or that's what I've gathered from bored midnight watchings of road wars.

I don't know about age limits on my insurance, but my trade policy allows me to drive anything fully comp up to £100K in value and with £250 excess. However it costs me over £2K a year.

Its just my Dad wants to open his own salvage yard, for spares and repairs. He just asked me to see if I can find traders insurance for us both with me being able to be on his policy at the age of 19.

Thanks for the advice.

You prob could get it, BUT you would have exceptions placed on you.

Age restrictions on what you can drive and engine capacities etc.

So you won't be tuning Ferarris just yet then?

Jinata - your best bet might be to ring a specialist trade broker, they might be a biot more knowlegeable than the companies themselves?
