Timing chain

Hi folks, I'm after some advice. Just got my micra back from Nissan (£114 lighter!) and have been told I have a stretched timing chain. Going to be honest it means nothing to me! They said its 25mm rather than 10. Can anyone advise me what I should do now. The repair they have quoted £1300 and as the car is only worth £1000, so I don't want to do that. So if I keep driving it how long will it last? Is it a case it will be a non runner soon so I should sell or will it go on like it is for a while so might be worth keeping. It is a 04 plate and only done 33000 so it's a shame to get rid of it but don't want to be left with a dud!
Hope that all makes sense. Any advice great fully received, thanks

I have a simmilar issue with my Nissan Micra 2005 12K, I advise you to visit more than one garage and see what they say , but 1300 pound is too much in my opinion, I got a price of 350 Pound including the chain belt and the labour
