Timing Chain 100,000 mile 2004 1.2S

Hi there.

I'm new to the group so hello. I bought my 2004 K12 1.2S 80bhp as a short term runaround but love it so much I'm keeping it. I have heard about timing chain stretch. My car is running well touch wood and sailed through its MOT. Is there anything I should be doing to minimise the possibility of anything happening to the chain? Thanks.

Change the oil/filter on acquiring the vehicle.

Annual engine oil & filter changes prolong the useful life of the chain in a runabout 15 year old car.

At 100K & 15 years old, the original chain would almost certainly have been replaced with something more durable.

Good luck :)

Thank you very much for your response. I'll get that sorted.
