Timing belt

Went to a pannel beater yesterday, I said while you are sorting out my bumps will you change the breake pads and check the Timing belt.

He said these cars do not have timing belts they have a chain?

So far the millage is 70 k and i dont know if that belt was ever changed .
is it true or dos he not know whats going on.

micras have chains mate, only time they need changing is when the engine dies so no point really



my old car had 94k and still on orig chain doubt you got anything to worry about.

K11's have chains, they can be replaced if they sound really rattly but other than that I shouldn't worry. K10's have timing belts which should be changed every 60000miles/5years.
