The Matchy

So I thought I best start a write up in the blog section of what's actually turned into a project . the beloved K10 that wound up being called "The Matchy" in reference to the comedic spelling mistake on the silhouette micra.

So I went and acquired a 1.0 face-lift for £100 with 76k on the clock

So I guess you can already see where I'm going with this, the K10 is 1.2 auto and the k11 is a manual. I know it's going to be hard work but it'll pay off and I'll end up with a K10.5 that doesn't have a worrying bottom end knock.

So today I started working on making the loom that will go into the K10 once the heart transplant is complete.

So, I've been working on removing the loom from the k11 ready to fit the engine in the k10. Ive spent ages labeling everything and making sure i dont cut through any wires I shouldn't have. Its a Nats car With a blue chip in the key. To my understanding that cuts the spark? can anyone confirm this? the pick up ring is connected and the key is just cable tied to it to provide a signal. Im fairly sure anything I've cut out isn't necessary. The engine turns over and did run briefly on easy start. Which leads me to believe I have a fueling Issue. However on Further investigation it seems ive lost spark. Can anybody shed some light on the situation? I dont like begging for help but after trawling the interwebs for a fortnight I think I've hit a dead end! Any help at all would be massively appreciated

Guys I'm not dead, the last 6 months have been a bit manic to say the least. Not even Logged in since July. as for the car. What a pain in the neck! turns out after dropping in the CG the idle control valve was too close to the bulkhead one or two race starts and it snapped in half! I did manage to fix it though. the throttle cable keeps coming undone. locktite sorted that issue. Ive even colour coded the bumpers. made a boss to fit the snap off boss and wheel. Unfortunatly things get in the way and I havent been able to do as much as id of liked. ill post up some photos soon. hopefully she'll turn out to be a cool little car one day
