Tailgate opening

Hi, my 58 plate (2009) Tekna has just had a service, with no concerns in running but - the rear tailgate door just opens up as I’m driving along. Very odd, any ideas ?

Common fault on facelift model.
Replace or repair..
It probably looks like the one in the image below with the button on front.

that is well worth a try, thanks. I remember another time on a MOT fail, the rear reg plate lamp had water inside. Maybe that was a clue to check it all out, and not just the light ? Mmmmm? ?? cheers for the reply. Many thanks

Its always good to do pre-checks before an mot. That way you know things like lights. Are functioning or not and you will have more time to replace an item.
Are some good guides available online.
