tailgate boot light switch on a nissan micra k11

Hi

yesturday i ran a 2core speaker cable to the tailgate lock with a switch for the boot light i mentioned a two pin connector on my previous thread. But when i try and put a live to the switch it blows the interior light fuse the switch is working fine any ideas here is the picture of the connector which is the boot light connector. Its carrying a live but not a neutrel. I think thay call it a murcury switch i think its attached onto the lock

lock is simular to this one but has a switch attached to the left of it it has a green and black wire on it

the wires that go to the boot lock are both earth wires.
one wire provides an earth to the lock itself
and the other wire comes from the boot light
so for the boot light you have the live +12v on one side
of the bulb then on the other side you have the earth wire

micra 2000 thanks for your help i must of been going the wrong way about wireing the light i will post up the light when i get it going hopefully. The boot light it self is a little mod i done to it hopefully if it works out

Custom boot light saved €30 for one in the main dealers so i used a number plate light
