Super S Fog Lights / Driving Lamps Wont Turn Off!

I did post questions about this about 6 months ago, but never got anywhere with it.

I put an aftermarket headunit into my 94 super s when I got the car - and did not realise I needed to cut the illumination wire.
This resulted in some blown fuses and a bit of smoke...

Got that problem sorted, but discovered about two weeks later that the bumper mounted driving lamps would not turn off - they come on whenever the headlights or sidelights are switched on.

As a short term fix I removed the light units themselves, but I'm really looking to fix the problem properly now and desperately need some help!

Ok, done some further investigations today by pulling each fuse in the fuseboard one by one with a fog light plugged in for testing.
The culprit seems to be the fuse for the rear light clusters.

Anyone experienced this sort of thing before?

I was rather hoping to take the fuse board out so I can make sure there are no short circuits round the back of it, but I can't see how it comes out... HELP! :-(

It would seem upon further investigation that the issue is with the earth wire - so I'll make up a new earth and cabin switch soon
