Subwoofer help!!!

hi guys!
ok change of plan!
bought a sub with a built in amp...
how do i wire it?
what is the wired switch?? or what ever it is called...
how do i get the red wire to the battery?
and where do i put the earth?
helpppppp!!

hi
the wired switch turns the amplifier on/off,,,it can be wired separately to the system on a switch so you can choose when it is active
wiring the red thick gauge power + wire is not to difficult and should have a in line fuse close to the battery
it is then fed through one of the rubber grommit bloking the bulkhead hole
under the carpet by the side of the passengers chair-dont have to remove chair as you can lift a corner of carpet up
place the wire neatly and the carpet sits back normally
you can earth the amp in the boot so no need to run that too the front

can i wire the switch into anywhere? so i dont have to bother with a separate switch? is there anywhere on the radio harness that i can splice into?

wire a in that diagram is the alive with ignition turn on wire
unless stated diferent in your instruction,
the deck should have a remote switch wire coming out of it

i also got a cheap meter tester to make sure i didnt go wrong with the wires

I assume you have aftermarket radio as the stock micra doesnt have RCA output. You need to connect the "switch" wire into the usually blue wire thats on your radio ISO. Usually says remote.

I had a headunit without any RCA pre-outs but I converted the rear speaker wires (that were not being used) into an RCA O/P (Y)

Thanks @R-REG-SR I found the rubber grommet things I will drill a hole in one tomorrow to thread the red wire through
and yes I have an aftermarket stereo...
All I need to do then I'm guessing is splice the blue wire into the blue wire on my stereo harness then connect up the RCA cables

Oh and any recommendation on where to connect the earth?

It's not actually that hard.

find a bolt in the boot, sand the paint around it to bare metal... there you go one earth point
