Strong Smell of Petrol

hiya,
when i put petrol in there is a strong smell of petrol in the car and it sucks loads of petrol. it might just be because its a 1.2gsx but im sure it takes more than normal. any ideas?????
whilst driving all of a suden it starts jerking and power goes low. i did just change one of the ht leads cause it was gone and was runin on 3 cylinders.
but then after a few mins it okay again. i had the carbretor, fuel pump and fuel filter changed, but i think the carburetor was no good.

any ideas???

ps. does ne1 no wer the Inlet Air Temperature sensor is? or the engine coolant temperature sensor is? thanks

the fuel filler pipes can rust out after a time, you can check it by looking under the rear arch and you will see the pipe. This may cause the smell of petrol.
