Strange windscreen washer issue!

Hi,

my Micra (K11 2001) has problems switching from front and rear windscreen washer spray.

It does change front front to rear intermittently, however mot of the time stay fixed on spraying either the front or the rear no matter which direction you select?

I change the washer pump and it did the same, so I changed it again thinking it could be faulty however problem still remains.

So I then got a new relay thinking that might have something to do with it. Are there two relays for the washer jets by any chance and I am missing it?

Sounds like the switch has failed internally,try a replacement from the scrappers.

Hi again!

I been trying to track down this issue for so long I am close to giving up.

Tried everything I could possibly think of from new washer pumps, relays, checking fuses and new wiper arm / switch.

It is so intermittent and there is no pattern in it!

Any ideas of where to look next would be greatly appreciated!

Check the earth connections they can make stuff go mad

I would change the stalk buddy, sounds like the fault is there to me..

yeah already changed it.

Unless luck has it is faulty as the original then I am at a loss as to where to look now!

is there a relay wired into the washer jets?

I would try a second stalk buddy just to confirm that is not the problem.
Failing that...a loose wire going to the stalk maybe (?)
