Went out to the trusty steed this morning and i was having trouble with unlocking it (only drivers side). The key turned clock wise (lock) fine but wouldnt turn anti-clockwise (unlock). I didnt wanna put force onto it incase i snapped the key.

Went to the passenger side and it unlocked fine...

classic symptom of someone having a go at your lock while you were knockout sleep
still goto admit how can them tramps fail apart from alltheir life-------garaged car is the only safe way

Had it been getting stiff over time, or was it just sudden? If its gradually got worse, a bit of oil squerted into the lock then lock, unlock, lock, unlock, a few times to work the oil in. If it was the latter, i'd be enclined to agree with R-REG-SR! Happened to me, luckily the scumbags decided to only have a go at my passenger side lock.

It happened this time last year when the weather started to get colder. But now its gotten to the point i cant turn it anti clock wise at all! I'll work some oil into it and go from there. Thanks for the help :)
