then after about 220miles at 8.45 disaster, the car cuts out and wouldnt start, straight away i suspect the engine control fuse and go straight for it and it was blown, so swap it for the power windows fuse and it just popped that too. so a phonecall for recovery and the tough decision as its a one way journey! North or South.....we went south after speaking to Frank as he said it was ok to have the car taken to his for a few tests.

the guy tried a 30amp fuse which just blew aswell, (we knew it wasnt going to work lol) then we sat in a dirty office for nearly 2 hours before a decision was made to take us to a services 30 miles away to swap trucks

once we got to the services it was another 2 hour wait before we got moving, by this point i was needing a drink and starting to dislike my ****ty fuses!

once we reached franks we got it off the truck and onto his drive, frank quickly set in about my car starting at the fuses and doing various tests to trace the source of the high ampage. he managed to trace it to the middle connection out the 3 that sit to the top of the relay box at the battery. one which he reckoned was the ecu, he reckoned we should unplug it then do more tests but before so we tested franks wifes car to see what amps were showing at the engine control fuse which was approx 0.5amp (mines hitting 17amps) so we unplugged the main ecu connection and i had a brainwave just to simply plug it straight back in and retest. after this we were reading 0.5amps and after hooking up a spare battery through some spanners and franks hands my car fired up straight away! we had another brief chat and a drink of juice before setting off the remaining miles to our destination. (what can i possibly say about frank? he is a legend as we all know, i felt so bad wasting his day waiting for me to show up!)

heres the weather we were approaching at JAE

was a brilliant weekend away, defo something i didnt expect to enjoy as much. the people, the weather, the cars, the atmosphere, the drink, the food (of what we had) all made it perfect. so we said our goodbyes and couldnt leave LOL my car wouldnt start as i left my keys in the ignition all morning! thought it would be just a jump start but after aout 5 attempts it wouldnt, checked the damn fuse and it had popped AGAIN! replaced that and got a jump from MIK and set off with frank in the rear view following us all the way to BRUM incase of anything disastrous.
