yo. I've just got some new plugs for my 1.2 gsx but i can't find the plug gap anywhere. Does anyone know. It'll be in the Haynes manual but i don't have one. I've set them at 0.80 mm for the time being. Ta.

im not that technically clued up so what do you mean by plug gap! I just thought you bought some and put them in, job done :S

The distance between the two electrodes. On a normal plug you've got one curving over the top of the other, which is the central core. The gap is the distance between these.

If it's too big you get a weak spark because it has to bridge a larger gap, this is why you have to check them as a service part as the electrodes wear away. If it's too small you get pre-ignition or short circuiting, not good either way!
