Slow Electric Windows

Hi all,

On my partners 03 plate Micra, when she uses either of the front windows the windows a very slow as it gets lower and lower, sometimes its as if the windows are being scrapped!

Is this a common issue? strange that both are like this.
Do i need to strip door panel off? and if so how?

yeah man, that's the norm. these k12 micras have smaller renault parts, electric and the like. so that aspect is poor. you might notice that the windows vibrate loudly if they're held half down.
small details point to a poor package you might say, but actually these cars are really decent motors.

Yep, my partner has noticed vibration of the windows/door when down :glare:
The slow windows seem to be better after a car wash, or is its been raining :glare:

Has anyone tried stripping door panel off, and oiling/greasing the runners?

I've done this on a Shogun, they needed greasing every couple of months. Might work on the micra.

Might try it....

How easy is it to strip the door panel off? to get access. Don't want to knacker it.
