SAME FAULTS AGAIN **!!!??** part 2

Hi All,
I have not been able to get my blown head gasket / thermostat sorted out yet due to low funds & my mechanic is on holiday until 31st march. As to the compression test as nissan boy told me to do, that would be impossible as the engione won't start anymore and the engine has to be warmed up first before testing anyway. The fault appears to have started in the cooling system with the thermostat staying closed and then preventing the engine from cooling thus causing it to overheat. I thought it was a leaking radiator and a misfiring cylinder and just shows that you have to look after you engine & do those checks very week.I have replace the coilpacks anyway at a cost of £36.10 BREMI x4 = £144 and the radiator at £45 as a preventive measure. I have noticed that my MOT is due and so is my insurance renewnal is due also, so I'm going to put the car on sorn for the time being to save some money and when ready I'll put back on the road.

You may notice that my login name has changed to yeowart0003 this becuse I had a free spyware software that I didn't like which had wiped off more than one membership so that had to go & I hope it won't bother this site again, unless it wasn't my spyware and MSC had anything to do with it!!.

You’re following audit trail catalogue of multiple posts listing numerous recent unresolved faults & problems with your K11 suggests a second opinion of a more competent mechanic may be advisable?

Good luck
If it keeps breaking, it might not be all the cars fault. Second opinion from someone who might not be just wanting to make a quick buck from someone who mightn't know better

If you are going to SORN it (Statutory OFF ROAD Notice) I hope that you have somewhere OFF ROAD to put it or it will get clamped/towed by the DVLA!

Hi John D, i have just tested tempture gauge on the engine to find out when my K11 overheats & have found out that the hole in the gaskets are not that bad so I going to replace the thermostat on the 3rd April and then pour Steel Seal price £23.00 on ebay intothe radiator to seal the holes in gasket perminently. Instead of replacing gasket & costing me £600 odd. Yours Peter0003
