Rusty Advice?

I have noticed something that makes me awful sad.

Sorry about the poor quality.

Any ideas how if this serious or not?

Anything I can do about it?

Get a big patch welded over it (continuous seam weld) or worst case new sill!Not as bad as it seems

yeah 1 it will probably fail an mot. 2 you will be better off getting it done for peace of mind just a bit of welding needs to be done

You can move the drain tubes while you're at it to stop it happening again.

Is there a Guide on how to do this anywhere?

I have heard someone mention it before.

Going to take it to my mechanic/welder today. Funds are tight at the moment too

Just got quoted £50 to do both sides, plus a bit on the floor what looks rusty.

He is going to grind it all down, rust remove protect thingy, then put a stoneguard on it. He reckons that it's mainly from stonechips from the road, but I would like to do this tube relocation regardless if I can!

Think that's a good price?

Price seems reasonable, though i think they rot from the inside rather than stonechips being the main cause, hence moving the drainage tubes..
