Rubber button on door handle not working/ripped

Recently bought a micra k12 1.2 sx with keyless entry. It all works fine apart from the drivers door handle switch which is split revealing the metal underneath. Just woundering if theres anyway of packing out the switch then glueing it all back together, or do I need to replace the whole handle?

You get the button separate without having to but the handle from a Nissan dealer
