Im thinking of making my own exhaust manifold, but i have read rover k series is a close fit, is this the correct one ?

Does the flanges of the stock cast manifold weld properly to the stainless or is it better to use new flanges ? OR the flanges on the rover be adapted to fit ?

Yes that's the correct type,
I made mine last month, I bought the steel micra flange from danst engineering,
the 2 middle primaries needed bringing closer together by 10-20mm the 2 outer primaries were cut, shortened and re-welded,
the downpipe from the rover also is a nice fit with only minor tweaking needed
you will also need to weld in a new lambda probe port as the original is at the rear and hits the block

It can be used but most people go for the version without the cat

Tho ive just looked for 'rover k manifold' and didnt see a catless one...

Im still thinking i could make a proper 4 branch from scratch...

Also i keeping seeing this design, 4-2-1 is there better benifit from this compared to 4-1 ?

As a crass generalisation 4-1 gives more top end power, 4-2-1 gives more mid range torque, assuming lengths of primaries and secondaries are correct. Both better than stock though!
