Rice's Monster

Right decided I should make a blog.
I bought it yesterday for £50 off my cousin who had 2 bumps in it and decided to abandon it in a field for the best part of half a year to a year.
How I picked it up:

Just given it a bloody good clean inside and out with Baj (was a member before the site crashed, he WILL sign back on :suspect:) and its looking a lot nicer. The mods will begin next week when I take a trip to the scrappies to replace the:
Bonnet, grill, bumper, 2 front wings, drivers side headlight, passenger side rear light, rear seatbelt, radio and 2 tyres :D

I also found 15 pence, 10 euro cents and some old coin so the car has cost me so far £49.849221748 (Y)

After taking the bumper off, I have noticed that my drivers side bumper bracket is FUBAR'ed, as is my drivers side arch lining :(, and I think the battery is too as its not holding charge. Putting it on charge for next few days, but its acid levels were uber low so topped it up with ionised water so just gonna wait :grinning:

Right a very much needed update.
A few weeks of work and £60 spent at the scrappies and Bertie (my cousins name for it :p) is now finished :D. And it passed its MOT (which was free from a family friend) today :D. So a roadworthy Micra for just £110 :D.
It needed way more work than I initially thought though, a LOT of panel beating on the front panel as it was bent totally out of shape, especially on the drivers side. The driver side wing and headlight didn't line up AT ALL either so they needed to be force fitted and the headlight needed extensive work to actually fit :p. However when it came to the MOT, the PASSENGER side headlight needed to be adjusted which is bloody amazing if you ask me! Its all relatively straight now, needs a bit of touch up here and there from taking the side strips off, the car has been resprayed previouly and the painters must've put the side strips on when the paint was still wet. But for £110 I can't complain :D.
Its now been fully serviced, new fuel and oil filters, a performance air filter panel, spark plugs and oil, and had 100 out of it on the private road back from the MOT :glance:. I also totally revamped the ICE with a new headunit, and speakers for the door and parcel shelf that were in my dads old car (free :D) so all in all i got a pretty good Micra :D
Heres some pics:

I just thought it looked so cool with the frost settled on top of it, no idea why :p

And a little vinyl i bought for it :)
And today I picked up some old Recaro's for it too, which were free :D, have Nova seat rails on them but I'm gonna bodge the Micra ones on to them on sunday, should help around fast corners ;).

Bloody repost
