rev counter

i have a problem i brought a rev counter
i wired it in as it said apart from a wire that is ment to go to the coil
dose any one know were this goes?fwn
pics will help alot

The coil is the thing that is connected by a HT lead to your distributer cap. There are 2 wires coming from the coil (either side of the HT lead) connect it to the left one as your looking down on it (i think its the left one, if its not, try the right one!)

Erm...........kev, you have a K10 not a K11.

For a k11 you need to wire it into the blue wire coming out of the distributor.

Can someone do a sticky or FAQ for rev counters as it keeps on coming up again and again, and there are always several posts with the wrong information or the wrong car before the right answer....

Silly question as I'm clueless when it comes to cars.

Is this blue wire also knownas the tacho / pulse wire?

I'm going to try and fit a blaupunt sat nav that needs this wire connected.

i've never had any luck with the "pulse wire" from the dizzy,

it didn't seem to work at all for me, i ended up using the Super S tacho

wheres this guide mate?? ive got a f&f tach and no manual i aint a clue which wire goes where lol

Can you do a bigger pic of the engine for where the rev wire needs to go..
