anyone got any tips on how to get decent access to remove the pump?
looks very tight for space and having big hands aint going to help me

can i get better access to it from the wheel arch if a remove the arch liner?

as usual haynes manual not that helpful.

i can see this being a git of a job to remove:down:

so is removing the mount and lowering / lifting the engine and going in to the arch is the best way to get at it.
ive had a look at trying to get at it from the top but even when i unclipped the pas reservoir out of the way it look like i wouldnt be able to get at it

oh and is removing just the one mount going to give enough movement or should i remove any other mounts

cheers frank, that tip about the mount helped, was still a pain in the ass to change imo.

tryed to get to it from in the arch:eek: and there was no chance of getting to it from there so had to struggle changing it from the top with the dam pas reservoir in the waygrr

all this trouble of changing it only to find that there was not a problem with the water pump so i dont know what that dam faint knocking noise is now
