removing rear drums?

How do i go about removing the rear drums to get at the brake shoes please?

Are they held on with a simple screw arrangement or do i have to remove a bearing as part of the process?

been ages since i done this, but im fairly sure you dont need to remove the baring to get at the shoes.

excellent thanks for that. I know some cars just use a screw but some you need to remove a bearing then re torque it up afterwoods when re fitting the drum.

all you do is take off the wheel and take off the drum

lol. that sounds easy. its not if they have stuck on which happend at some point on my k11. haynes says they have a threaded hole which you can use to get them off with a bolt tightened on , but mine didnt.

thats when a copper hammer comes in handy as it doesnt damage the studs or drum when wacked hard

i love whacking things hard. i hate rear drums though. bad experiences of them when trying to service.

make sure hand brake is down n the wheels choked so the car dont roll n crap

to get the drums off as in the casing, jack car up, handbrake off and it comes off
