Engine light came on can't remember code but it pointed to cat so I removed and there was a hole and the loose inside material had sort of blocked centre box for a quick fix as needed car for work I smashed out remains of the cat and cleared middle box with air line put back together and got code wiped I've done about 1000 miles since and still no light and car running great..
Does anyone no if it would pass emissions test or will I have to buy a new cat.. Thanks

Yeah it's the honeycombe of precious metals that lowers the emissions. You've essential de-cated the motor. The exhaust will probably be less restrictive as a result and you may feel the car is performing better but if vosa do a roadside emission test you will fail miserably unfortunately.
