Remote locking not working

So got a 2002 tempest
Remote never worked when I got it, central locking does tho off the lock , it had been sat for nearly a year , put new buttoons and battery in the remote and car , still nothing
Been through the ignition and setup mod god knows how many times , swapped out the locking control unit still nothing
Other then a possible button anything else could be the cause, and possible it's completely lost its code?
Thanks

Remote locking is great ,don't think much to the electric Windows
Weird to say coming from a k12, and other cars that had it , manual is much better

You clearly don't lead a "base model life" :) .... I want one of those foot massage units fitted to the K11 off the Audi A8 add :)

Shouldn't complain .... I got a heated rear window which is more than I have on the 106 :)

My dad.use to have range rovers ect,the went to a Nissan mistral , largo the.another d21 it had less spec then a k11 excpt power steering (has to) vinyl half cut floor , half cut door card, 2 spoke steering wheel no central locking , or heated rear window , 2 speed wiper just base everything lol, and he's enjoyed the more basic nissans over higher end motors
Naw I'm weirdly happy of the only.two options of power steering and central locking , same as id rather have popouts and a manual sunroof over aircon , lol

Luxury. You were spoilt in luxury MK 2 Escorts?

I started off in a cheap as chips good runner Morris Minor 850cc of 1956 vintage with (no synchro double de-clutch crash box) bought for £12.50p with three months MOT.

Being a punishment wagon I soon tired of it & sold it on for £35; a good weeks wages tickle @ the time.

Quickly aspired to a “bangernomics” £50 105E Anglia, 998cc circa 35Hp no less, that I got three years motoring out of before I sold it on for £95.

Keep fit manual everything, less superfluous tarty tat toys to go wrong.

I lad, we had luxury ice on the inside of the windows in our house!

The house was a walk in fridge. We opened the doors & windows to let the outside warmth in to dry the damp up the walls.

You got there before me. Those were the happy days?
