Reliability.

Hello all :). I have been reading about the new K14 Micra that has been launched. It is certainly a good looking car.

However my thoughts went about the K13. I have been trying to find good user reviews about this car but very little. In Malta we get two choices from where we can buy the Micra:
1. Either brand new from the local Nissan store
2. Or buy a second hand Japanese made imported Nissan March

The thing is, Nissan is now co-developing engines and cars with Renault.

How are you guys or gals, find this model? Is it reliable, economic and good to drive?

K 13 and K 12 Micra Long-Term Reliability?

Do your own research from long established substantive reliable data resources, such as the Daily Telegraph motoring correspondence website honestjohn.co.uk. May I suggest you read the reviews for the K 13 and K 12 Micra and then make comparison with the reviews for the equivalent Toyota Yaris.

Get the data, investigate, inspect, compare and make your own rational decision based on substantive verifiable customers and owner driver’s real-life experience with the K-12 and K 13 Micra. Enjoy the journey and avoid the pitfalls and bear traps that the free market provides for the unwary and uninformed.

Follow the links to a taster to get you going comparing long-term reliability reviews by professional motoring journalists and ordinary non-Micra enthusiast owner drivers experiences with the K13 quickly found, correlated and categorised as follows:

Thanks for your feedback :). From what I gathered, the Yaris seemed to be a better car. But I would like also to hear experiences from drivers here about the car. The the thing is, I am not much fan of the Yaris, although it is a very good car. The K13 Micra facelift seems very nice and cute compared to the k12. But it seems that the micra k13 is not of the quality of the Micra k11, which in my opinion a very reliable car.

I would like to read your real experience of the Micra K13

Reliability K13?
Quote; “The K13 Micra facelift seems very nice and cute” does not correlate to reliability? The weight of data information available clearly indicates that the equivalent Toyota Yaris is superior to the K-12 and K 13 in terms of reliability and durability.

The few individual Micra enthusiast’s real experiences regarding long-term durability and reliability expressed in the K 13 threads here are statistically insignificant with reference to and in the context of the tens of thousands of K 13s sold and in use mostly in Northern Europe.

The K13 Micra is known to have suspension running gear weaknesses as evidenced by the following K 13 Micra sports threads. Therefore long-term durability and reliability on Malta’s exceptionally pitted potholed roads is unlikely to be compatible with the K 13.

May I suggest you read and reflect on the following threads of owner driver experiences regarding durability and reliability of the K 13 which may be pre-emptively indicative of the prospects for the Renault designed and built K 14?

Quote; “The new Nissan Micra will be built in the same factory as the Clio and Zoe, at the Renault plant in Flins, France. Sales should start from the spring 2017” This appears to be a Renault vehicle fitted with a Nissan badge, formerly known as badge engineering.
