Recommended engine oil

Just purchased a 2009 K12 , what viscosity should the engine oil be .

The manual says synthetic 5w-30 is preferred. Ive been using comma x flow, as seems to be good quality but not really expensive.

How often do you change the oil ? I was told to change it twice a year .

That's probably ok, or every 6000 miles. The fully synthetic oil should cope if you forget but regular changes is the way to go. The micra sump isn't all that big and small cars are more likely to be doing short urban journeys which is harder on the oil anyway.

Thanks for the info , it's much appreciated , this is my first car as I usually ride a motorcycle , so I wasn't sure how often to do the oil change .
