Hey guys,

My name is Lee from Nottinghamshire

Thought I'd post some pictures of my project which my misses has called project hippo as she thinks all micra's look like hippos lol..

Picked it up over a month ago. Previous owner had started to smooth doors, it's Lowered on weller steels 13x6 and 13x7 on coilovers..ride is very harsh but looks good lol

Already got quite a few plans for it..

When I got it..

First thing to do Was start on the drivers door..still needs a little work

Next these arrived in the post

And fitted..rest of the interior needs work

Another delivery today.. On the look out for some 12" or 15" subs now. Rear is stripped and template made ready for boot build..will get pics up soon of that

Yeah it's from Chichester way..took me and my mate 4 and a half hours to get there..well worth the drive.

Few updates.. Progress going slower than hoped due to work commitments but managed to get a few things done today..

Got mine off eBay..it's the 150mm version.. You can get up to 400mm

quick queston i have the same subs but seem to lack the quality in both bass and treble. How do yours sound???

Only really tested them to check they was working so far.. What you powering them with? You running a ported box?

Yeah got a box with trumpets but no padding in box.
And a 2000w amp.

Boot build almost complete.. Just need to fit the isolator switch as for some reason my head unit has no remote. Also need to finish the floor. But here is how it looks.. The bass is immense.. The whole car shakes.

That Hippo theme would be humorous I think. It keeps bringing my thoughts comic strip Moomins. At Finnist Nissan forum one mate called Micra the Moomin-car lol, got the idea from there...

I have an aftermarket boss which attaches to the splines and then the sparco one attaches to that.

how much closer does it bring the wheel to you?

The sparco one brings it quite a lot closer than a standard boss. The one on eBay looks ok but all depends if you want the steering wheel closer as that's only 25mm

354 miles and 7 hours later and I've picked these up. Looking at getting the centres powder coated and dishes polished. Think I'm gonna have to raise the suspension to run these tho. : (
They are 15x7 any ideas on tyres? Best size tyre to stretch on to these?

Thought I'd post some pics of how she stands at the moment. Just ran out of tax so gonna declare it sorn for now and try and focus on getting a few more things done on it.

My tow hook arrived and fitted

Still needs another coat of primer and to finish the roof.. Let me know what you think?

Took a whole day prepping the bodywork and painting but then lost the light and haven't had chance to finish it yet. I'm getting it resprayed when my bonus from work comes thru.

Torn between 2 colours at the moment. I like it in primer but needs a respray for the show season

Thinking of selling the Lenso..15" wheels might be too big for the look i'm wanting. let me know if your interested or have any 13/14's to swap
